Good morning. Here’s the latest WSSD51 COVID-19 case count for Sept 9 - 13: WSPS: 3 students positive / 1 staff positive / 57 students quarantined / 1 staff quarantined. WSMS: 9 students positive / 1 staff positive / 22 students quarantined / 1 staff quarantined. WSHS: 4 students positive / 0 staff positive / 23 students quarantined. Total: 18 positive / 104 quarantined.
This week, the Self Regional Hospital COVID-19 vaccination clinic relocated to the Self Regional Support Services Center located at 104 Wells Ave. COVID-19 testing remains at the drive-through location at 303 West Alexander Avenue.
Vaccination Clinic hours will be M-F, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. Individuals must call 725-8200 to pre-register and schedule a vaccination appointment.

We are always grateful for the support of Solicitor David Stumbo for collecting school supplies for children in need in the 8th Judicial Circuit area. Each year, Solicitor Stumbo teaches diversion program participants the importance of SERVICE ABOVE SELF by accepting school supplies as a part of their restitution. Thanks to the solicitor and his staff for their valued partnership and for their role in making our communities safer!

A Home School/Private School meeting will be held Tuesday, September 14, 2021 at 5:00 p.m. at Ware Shoals School District Office Darby Conference Room. Our community and district are very fortunate to have the support of the Ware Shoals Community Foundation, whose Board of Directors recently donated $2,000 to the Ware Shoals Schools Hall of Fame nonprofit organization and $1,000 to the Athletic Department at WSHS for reconditioning of football helmets. Need a COVID test? Come to Ware Shoals High School before 2PM today to receive a PCR test (not a rapid test). DHEC is providing this drive-through testing clinic for our district and community.
